We strive to make yoga accessible with our live online yoga classes over zoom and on-demand recordings, so you can practice wherever your device will connect. We provide time and space for you to calm your nervous system, stretch, rest, and feel a sense of peace. All ages, all flexibilities, and beginners welcome!

People who join our live online yoga classes have shared they enjoy yoga because it is time that is carved out just for them, makes their body feel better, stretching improves their performance when running, and yoga helps them recharge for the unpredictable situations they are required to handle every day. 

We limit our live online yoga classes to 15 participants to help foster a sense of community. You are welcome to join with your camera on or off. If you choose, arrive to class a bit early to connect with like-minded individuals who celebrate together, support each other, and are genuinely happy you've joined.

We spend so much of our time taking care of others personally and/or professionally. We know it is important to prioritize self-care not only for our own wellbeing but also to be able to show up for others. Even if you only have 25 minutes a week for a live vinyasa yoga class, or 2 minutes a day for an on-demand guided breathing recording, our monthly membership can fit into your busy schedule.

You are the only person who can make time for you. Whether your intention is so you can take care of others more mindfully, sign up for a race, or feel a sense of peace, we would love to join you on your journey. Give it a go, get into the flow (or yin, or restorative)

I'm Jennifer Davey, the Founder of Lotus Revival Yoga and a Canadian Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor. I've shared my bio with you below, which I'd love for you to read! What I'd like to mention first is one of the main reasons Lotus Revival Yoga came to be.

 

I lived in overdrive for about 20 years. I grew up in a big city in Ontario where I was conditioned to "live life to the fullest" in the busiest way possible. My schedule was always packed with fun-filled activities, which I loved as a kid. However, as I got older and the responsibilities of being an adult and having a career were being piled on, continuing at this pace - even amongst the tropical surroundings when I moved to Australia - meant that I was living in a state of constant exhaustion.

I didn't realize how exhausted I was, until my life took a sharp turn and I moved to Prince George, BC. After relocating to Prince George, I was finally able to breathe. I became part of a community that had a healthy work/life balance. People socialized while they climbed a mountain, they worked hard so they could relax harder, and almost everyone I met actively created this sense of community and belonging. Through these experiences I unknowingly started to take care of myself. I also listened more, I became vulnerable, and more in tune with my mental and physical well-being as it improved.

 

While I only lived in Prince George for 18 months, this community had a profound impact on my life. I wanted everyone to experience what I was so grateful to have experienced. I didn't realize until recently that was one of the main motivators for creating Lotus Revival Yoga; a safe space where people can connect, grow, and have fun while being part of a community of like-minded people.

 

Although I have a lot of experience, education, and training, I am not going to project or pretend that I know what everyone is going through. I do know what I experienced in a state of overdrive, burnout, whatever you’d like to call it. I also know that sometimes it helps to have someone tell you that it's okay to slow down and enjoy the view as you climb the mountain.

Meet Your Yoga Instructor

Jennifer Davey

 Founder of Lotus Revival Yoga 

Canadian Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor

 

Jennifer Davey is the Founder of Lotus Revival Yoga and a Canadian Yoga Alliance (CYA) Certified Instructor. Jennifer has additional certification in Yin, Restorative, Prenatal, and Family Yoga. She also has additional certification in Yoga Nidra, Mindfulness Coaching, and is an Ayurvedic Nutritionist. Through the practice of yoga both on and off the mat, Jennifer works with students to achieve their desired balanced lifestyle. Jennifer focuses on making yoga accessible for everyone; all ages, all flexibilities, and beginners welcome.

 Jennifer has 19 years of classroom teaching experience and completed two Masters Degrees with the most recent in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Jennifer's thesis was titled Decolonising Patriarchal Education; Empowering Female Linguistic Space. Jennifer has extensive training and experience teaching students with additional physical and cognitive needs, and teaching through a trauma informed lens. Jennifer applies this to her yoga practices providing participants with a calm environment, variations for each pose based on individual need, and a safe space to learn, grow, and have fun!

 

Jennifer is an avid runner having finished the Sydney Marathon and the Vancouver Marathon, and a frequent hiker successfully summiting Mt Terry Fox and Mt Robson. Jennifer has lived in Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Australia, and now lives in the Yukon with her husband Joel and their two beagles where they enjoy many daily outdoor adventures together.
